Giving Back to our Communities

"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." - Helen Keller

Between Friends Publishing

Sharing Stories.
Building Community.

When we launched Between Friends Publishing, we knew we wanted it to be more than a business. We wanted it to be a bridge — connecting authors to readers, artists to opportunities, and neighbors to one another. For us, publishing is personal. Every book represents someone’s dream, effort, and voice, and we treat it as such. But our mission doesn’t stop with the authors we serve. We believe that a thriving creative community benefits everyone, which is why we actively invest our time, energy, and resources into local programs, events, and organizations.

The Middle Georgia Lit Fest

One of our proudest initiatives is the Middle Georgia Lit Fest (MGLF), an annual event hosted by Between Friends Publishing in collaboration with the City of Warner Robins to bring families and communities together to celebrate literacy for all.

The People Behind the Mission

Beyond their work in publishing, our co-owners, Jaimie and Victoria, are active participants in organizations that enrich the cultural life of Middle Georgia and beyond.

"If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other" - Mother Teresa

Jaimie serves as Vice President of Warner Robins Little Theatre, where she helps guide one of the area’s longest-running non-profit community theaters. A passionate advocate for arts and literacy, Jaimie co-founded the annual Middle GA Lit Fest alongside Victoria Hawkins, partnering with the City of Warner Robins to create an event that celebrates books, authors, and creative expression.

Jaimie also organizes community drives and supports city programs, local non-profits, literary initiatives, and disaster relief efforts. She has a personal rule of balance: for every hour invested in a for-profit project, she donates an hour to non-profit causes. This ensures she is continually giving back to the community she loves.

"Gardens are not made by singing 'Oh, how beautiful!' and sitting in the shade" - Rudyard Kipling

Victoria lends her expertise to numerous local theatre programs, donating advertising management, graphic design, playbill production, and website development services. At Warner Robins Little Theatre, she serves as Head of the Publicity Committee, helping to strengthen one of Middle Georgia’s oldest community arts institutions.

An advocate for literacy and the arts, Victoria co-founded the annual Middle GA Lit Fest with Jaimie, working with the City of Warner Robins to create an event that uplifts creative voices. Beyond her professional projects, Victoria invests her time and talents into programs and events that enrich her community, protect the environment, and inspire a love of reading and storytelling for all ages.
